What is this spider?

Yesterday while walking on the Gower coast in South Wales I came across some gorse bushes, large parts of which had been completely encased in spider web. The web resembled a very fine gauze and from a distance looked almost like mist. Inside the 3D structure was a huge number of minute rust coloured specks which I took to be baby spiders. Can anyone tell me which spider this is?

This is not a spider, but a species of mite that can infest Gorse with these enveloping webs.
