| | | Pine maurader I was walking the dog in a pine forest, when something hit me on the head, it was a pine cone half eaten. Looking up there was lots of pieces of pine cones (green of course) floating down from the tree. The remains had teeth marks in and there were loads of them littered around.
Anyone know what creature was eating them?

| | | Re: Pine maurader We used to get pelted by red squirrels up in Cumbria, then they would give you a load of bad language from the treetops. The Bounders! |

| | | Re: Pine maurader Could possibly be a Crossbill? I have seen these eating locally and they were messy eaters! They came down to drink soon after if that is of help?
