| | | Hello gosh this is something quite new for me but i simply had to ask. This afternoon whilst sitting in the garden my friend and i spotted a small quiet fly flying round the garden with what we assumed to be a bit of white fluff stuck to it. It went round and round and then disappeared but returned or so we thought. I think there must have been more than one. It didn't land anywhere like normal flies tend to. Eventually my friend managed to sort of scoop it inbetween her hands. On closer inspection it had a white fluffy body which was persumably what we could see when it as flying around only it seemed bigger during flight. I have never seen anything like it. Anyone have any idea's as to what it is. I haven't been able to find it although what i looked up brought me to a similar thread on this site but the photo looked nothing like what we saw. My friend has been telling her friends this afternoon and they don't beleive her. I know what we saw. |

I think lots of the experts have gone on a trip today, so I expect someone will tell you later.

| | | Re: Hello Btw i would be interested to know a bit more about them if anyone knows. They look like little balls of fluff floating around and in the light i thought they had a bluey tinge to their wings although that doesn't quite fit with what the lady on the other thread said. Thanks for your help everyone. |
