| | | Spider with Gold Fangs. hi,
This evening I was taking the rubbish out and in the rubbish bin there was a spider hanging on it's web on the rubbish bin wall. The web was large spining round the bin. This spider is unusally plump (Fat).
Description:
The spider is a shiny black with grey abdamon, shorts legs with fine hair, overall body with large Gold Fangs (its the fangs that worry me) The fangs are 4mms long mabey more (not sure). The spider is 5 / 6 cm's large.
I have tried to search this spider on the internet but i can't find what it is, so coud someone please possibly try and find out what it is and get back to me.
Thanks |

Serveral things we need to know.
the size of the spider excluding legs
Where you are in the country.
Any patterning on the abdomen.
What type of web? an orb web? a sheet of web?, a tangle of web?
All this would help.
Have a quick look on here, see if you can find something similar for us to work from Thumbnails of spiders in NW_Europe
Relax, spiders eat insects and spiders, not people!

| | Re: Spider with Gold Fangs. Hi Luke, and Welcome to WAB,
Try and get a frontal shot of the eyes, that would help with the ID to Genus
(Venger taught me that ) and there's more!
