Pleasley Pit Derbyshire

My apologies if I have placed this in the wrong area!!!

If anyone is around derbyshire anytime soon then I can recommend a stop off at the old pleasley pit nature site (near the A38 ish), It sits on my doorstep and like most things that are I have never been there!!! I went this morning and its a little corker.

Mallard, Swan, Coot, Canada Goose, Tufted Duck, Oystercatcher, Lapwing, Little plover, Ringed plover, Sedge warbler, yellowhammer, Reed bunting, skylark, magpie and a few more of the usual suspects

Also got a few Brimsone and tortoiseshells

Definatley on the regular list from now on

Hi,

and if you go in june it's awash with wildflowers , there's Bee Orchids all over. Very good for Dragonflies too in the dragonfly pools behind the winding house.

Well worth a visit.
