Worst Day Out

Took a day off work to visit Gigrin today. As we had been on the road for 3 hours and we were a little early, we stopped for some food on the way. Only for a member of the family (who won't be named) to go and lock the car keys in the boot of the car.

Spent the entire afternoon stuck in a car park waiting for Green Flag to come and rescue us. Eventually got the keys back and drove home in silence not having seen a single Kite.

I'm told we will be able to laugh about it one day

Just wondered if anybody else wants to share their bad experiences for a laugh.

Not really a wildlife moment but once was fishing a match, and had gone out the night before and was still feeling the effects in the morning. Had a great start catching several fish, but then stood up stepped back tripped over my landingnet handle fell onto my keepnet pulling it from the bank and loosing all my fish getting soaked and covered in mud. At the time i was very unhappy but look back on it now and laugh and that was only two years ago, the other anglers certainally had a good laugh at my expense

. Im sure you will get chance to go back to Gigrin and it will make up for it.

We had just moved to the area. I parked my fiesta in the square, got my son out of the car. Slammed the car door with engine running, key still in the ignition door locked.

People were walking past the car looking at me, then looking at the car running and locked.

I had to wait 1 hour for the AA.
