| | | See what's been visiting my bird feeder!!!! I thought the peanuts were going down quickly with no obvious signs of bird activity - now I know why
Not sure what type of mouse it is though? |

| | | Re: See what's been visiting my bird feeder!!!! I did wonder whether it was a yellow necked mouse ( Apodemus flavicollis - got my book out LOL) because it is quite large and is a wonder to behold when it climbs/runs up the hedge and leaps onto the nuts. We have more than one by the way To me it seems a lot darker in colour than a Wood Mouse but I'm not that sure - anyway, thanks for looking |

| | | Re: See what's been visiting my bird feeder!!!! I always put nuts by a little hole by the garage that I spotted a very rotund lady(?)mouse by last summer!I know a lot of people try to stop other creatures feeding at their birdtables - but I just love to see all nature there !
Was very excitied to have a pair of red legged partridges there 2 days ago - had to look them up as I had never seen one before !!! |

| | | Re: See what's been visiting my bird feeder!!!! Hard to say for sure but the yellowish tinge to the fur and the sharp delineation between the brown back and white underside does point to the yellow-necked mouse. Although it has a very local distribution.

| | | Re: See what's been visiting my bird feeder!!!! We've had a few Wood Mice families, the last one a few weeks ago, looks the same to me so I'd go with wood mouses
