this is what i was attempting to write Quote:
The straw only works well in the summer as significant sunlight is required for the chemical reaction. it also works better in still water than running.
it also only works against certain sorts of algae (normally the blooming varieties of blue green and red) , filimenteous alga like thst in you water feature tends to be less effected.
i'd recomend that you pull all the algae off with a rake and also see if you can reduce the nutreint load in the water.
