| | | Re: Bat/Bird Boxes Before you put your bat boxes up do a little research about placement.
I made and put up a whole bunch of boxes on an outdoor centre I used to work on but as they were on the trees on the top of a cliff (quite exposed) they were never used. I'd put them there so they were south facing and got the sun but I should have put them in the more secluded areas around the buildings where they would have been protected from the coastal winds.
Good luck though, there's few better sights on a summer evening than bats zooming around your garden. |

| | | Re: Bat/Bird Boxes Iv convinced my dad to make me a bat box Hes so much better at these things! He also has a spare bird box to get me started. Also he has suggeted some of the trees facing east near me. They would be out of the wind there.
Thing is the tress around here are all next to the neighbours house! I have asked them if i can put them up and they are fine with it but they will reap the benefit by being able to see them from their garden! | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
