Can you help identify this tiny, spiny character

Hi folks,

A small, spiny slug (actually looks more like a sea slug

) about 5mm long, on Yellow Brain Fungus (Witches' Butter). Would really appreciate help with identification. Please see this posting on the WAB Fungi Forum for photos.

can't help with the wee beastie, but yellow brain fungus is NOT witches butter!

You are right of course, in the UK Exidia glandulosa has first call on the common name of Witches' Butter, however in the USA and Canada Tremella mesenterica is also called Witches' Butter.

This being WAB....it has to be Yellow Brain Fungus.
