That is not a good read Carl.

Even with the good intent of Governments and/or Conservationists it still looks dire.

It's a frightening fact that a lot of species that are just about hanging on probably won't be seen by any grandchildren I may be enough lucky to have. What a terrible thought. ww

The Red List made depressing reading. We are not powerful enough to prevent civil wars in Africa where hippo's are killed for meat and ivory, but we can all do our bit here in Britain to help stop the loss of biodiversity and natural habitat on our own doorstep.
We must continue to increase the amount of our domestic waste for recycling and cut down on carbon emissions. If the polar bear becomes extinct in 50 years, the blame lies with us.
