| | | What animal? Hi,
I came across a small hole about an inch and a half in diameter by one of the fences (with a concrete base) which seemed to be a tunnel into the neighbour's garden.
Any ideas what mammal or reptile or anything else could have made it? |

| | | Re: What animal? Your hole is highly likely to have been made by a mammal (rodent), there are several burrowing species. what sort of area are you in? urban, rural, suburban. Is there woodland? farmland? By the size if it id probably go for a Wood Mouse which are more active burrowers than there close cousins the House Mouse.

| | | Re: What animal? Hi Dogghound and Bushcraft
Thanks for your replies.
It's on the edge of Eccleston, St Helens very close to the East Lancs Road (A580) There's a playing field with some trees, but not a wood, then open farmland.
I hope it is a woodmouse! I like rodents and keep 4 gerbils. |

So likely it was one.
