Post Wildlife Checklist!

Hi Guys I Was Just Wondering, My Friend Gave Me A Checklist Of Wildlife I Had To Spot In Rothbury Over The Period Of A Weekend. This Is The List And What I Seen............


Sparrow Hawk-yes
Perigrine Falcon-no
Badger- No
Kestrel-yes
Buzzard-yes
Grey Squirrel-yes
Red Squirrel-no
Barn Owl-yes
Long Eared Owl-no
Short Eared Owl-no
Weasel-yes
Stoat-yes
Otter-no
Little Owl-no
Hares-yes
Door Mouse-no
Mouse-yes
Fox-yes
Red Deer-no
Roe deer-yes
Ferrel Cat-no

Just Out Of Curiousity From Where Your From,

How Would This Checklist Do Around Where You Live.
Using Only Wildlife Given Above, This Should Be Interesting To Find Out......

Plenty of feral cats round here but I don't think they can really be classed as wildlife!

You did well to spot so many over a weekend. I found a dead Stoat today - does that count?

Here in inner-city Manchester, we can tick yes, yes, yes to the grey squirrels but not to much more on your list!

There are plenty of wildlife to be seen though, and always remember that nature is all around you ...

thats a good list scarlet, its good to see you ticked yes for little owls i have seen one wild little owl and that was years ago, good replys good sightings,

Wonder if anyone will have Scottish Wildcat on their list?...i just learnt about these endangered beauties last night!

i have started a new thread on ferrel cats and Wildcats, i also learned a lot about Wildcats on a website i will find it agian and post it on wab, excellent website

I live on the Surrey/Hampshire border,plenty of farmland,woodland,heathland and water!
The only ones I can say no to,are Peregrin,Red Squirrel and Long and Short Eared Owls,though the birds can all be seen at Birldworld,2 miles from here!
We did have an imaginary puma,in the late 60's,early 70's,and that's for sure,bobbo

sorry dan slater were you asking me where im from am sitting looking at the thread wondering if the question was directed at me,

im from (north east)south shields but travel to rothbury every weekend to see frinds and family.
