| | | Rate your Recordings I thought it might be an idea to see how everyones sightings/recordings have gone for each species so far.
That way we may have some idea as to what has suffered in the wet weather or even done well. I know this is basic and there are lots of factors to take into account, but we may be able to decipher something from it.
Have fun.

| | | Re: Rate your Recordings Not sure if there's meant to be a poll, but one species that seems to have suffered in my area is the Common Blue Butterfly. I've only spotted one individual all summer. Normally there are plenty about.

| | | Re: Rate your Recordings I agree, Gatekeepers, Peacocks & Meadow Browns are plentiful, about the same as previous years. However, very few Blues of any sort, very few Red Admirals and no Painted Ladies.
Just been along a 5 mile stretch of the Thames and not one young Swan seen, plenty of adults though. Wonder if the adverse weather affected them?

| | | Re: Rate your Recordings I am not sure whether this thread is just about butterflies, but I have a HUGE crop of apples this year (don't know if that is due to the rain?). In turn this has made my garden (with the windfalls) hugely attractive to the deer. There have been at least 9 regular visitors (ie: several times per day) for the last couple of months - both roe and muntjac.
