| | | Wildlife Sounds - Help Needed! Hi everyone,
As some of you may know, I work as a Park Keeper in East Lancashire. One of the projects I'm currently working on is a trail for people with problems with their eyesight. As I'm very much into wildlife I would like to use this project as a basis for improving wildlife awareness and the importance of local green spaces.
One of things I would like to do is use wildlife sounds in the project and this is where I need help. Has anyone got or can give me information on where to get copyright free wildlife sounds. Or would anyone like to help us out with the project???
If you could reply to this message it would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Lee |

You may consider making your own - there are now some very good recorders on th market that won't break the bank. ------ one bit of advice, get a good mike. |

| | | Re: Wildlife Sounds - Help Needed! Last night (in the countryside near Runcton, West Sussex) I was awoken by the sound of 'horses clopping' on the nearby lane, but there were no horses! The sounds seemed to be coming from a nearby conifer tree. They were a simple 'clop clop clop' sound just like the horse scenario described, starting quite slowly then speeding up a little but always the sound of the metallic horse shoe hitting a hard surface. The rate was slower than a horse walking, without the associated 'gait'.
I also happened to notice that there were two 'fluorescent' points in the tree.
I hadn't been drinking and there were no drugs (legal or illegal) involved!
I'd not heard the sounds before and am keen to discover from what creature the sounds came. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
