must have been.....my night adapted eyes were probably screaming "the lights the lights, turn out the lights!"

mm....well not exactly....but i'm much more at home when its darker! i've had to get me shades out.

Have a look at this page on my web site: kingfisher. This was taken with a Panasonic digital video camera mounted on my scope via the Kowa DA1 and 30.5 mm adapter. The original is much better quality than the video displayed.

The Kowa 823 (flourite, angled body) scope with 32x eyepiece is around £880, the DA1 with adapter ring approx £120. What is also worth buying is the Manfrotto sliding plate adapter at about £35, which allows you to maintain the centre of balance when the camera is mounted on the scope, you then don't need to lock off the tripod head, but set enough friction so that when you let go, the scope stays still - makes filming a lot easier. There's a lot about digiscoping on the Birdnet site - Birdnet Ltd..
