One solution is to simply have a hole that only allows your lens to peep through but I find this very difficult to use because your field of view is so limited, especially if you're using a telephoto lens. It might work if you're focussing on a specific perch but if not you can't see enough which is frustrating. In practice I find I need a letter box shaped opening that will allow my lens to stick through but will also allow me to see either side of the lens.

Any suggestions? | if you roll the door up , and hang a bit of scrim net over it you can see out through the scrim but the camo will break up your outline for birds looking in - you can also easily make a hole or holes in the scrim net for your lense, without the cut running as it might in tent nylon

If you go to ebay and search for 'toilet tent' there are some cheap alternatives. I have just had a look (don't ask) and there are some good choices. For those who like to go birding together there are even doubles!

Keeps you dry its totally portable fits in your pocket.
Doesn't cost very much and best of all it conceals you from your quarry
