I've had a bit of gyp with knees and ankles down the years and shelled out for a pair of Superfeets. Since then, the knees have been fine, but I still suffer from ankle trouble sometimes.
In terms of boot brands, I have bunions on each foot (I just thought owd women got these?), which make my feet wider at the front, whilst my heels are relatively narrow. I find Meindl suit my weird feet.

£75? not a lot for quality boots these days, but check out Grisport, italian and good quality with Vibram soles, if you cant afford Zamberlans...............
