| | | Ladies snow jackets - any recommendations? Hi all,
My Animal snow jacket is reaching the end of its life. It's not particularly worn, but it is a light colour and now shows dirt and scratches and looks a bit scruffy. Also the pale hue always put me off using it for birdwatching (one of my favourite pastimes). BUT I luvs my Animal! You can put it on and almost feel like someone could throw you in a freezing lake and you'd still be warm and dry about the body!
I was looking at a black Animal, maybe the Elana. Does anyone know if this is as good (it'll probably be an online purchase) or if there are any other snow jackets that I can have a look at? I want something as waterproof as possible. Something a bit padded, with that "skirt" area.
Thanks.

What I like about ski jackets (apart from the warmth and water/windproofing) is all those luvverly pockets – so no need to take a hand/bag out with me as all my essentials fit nicely in the pockets
This is the one I have: Animal Women's Capello Ski Jacket - Black |

| | | Re: Ladies snow jackets - any recommendations? P.S. I didn’t buy mine via that link, that website just turned up at the top of a google search, so I used it to show you what the jacket looked like. I honestly can’t remember where I purchased mine online from (I delete receipts etc., from computer yearly) and a google search isn’t proving very productive so maybe the jacket has been discontinued??
They also come in neon pink and blue, but I stuck to black for practical purposes(!), although it does have a ‘ hippy chic look with a subtle embossed flowery pattern to style out your ride’!!!! – website’s description, not mine!
Good luck with your quest. Let us know what you opt for in the end and give us a review on it . |

I do like the idea of "hippy chic" (which seems a bit odd coming from the woman who once stared dumbfounded (for several seconds) at the cashier in Next, having tried to return a skirt with the hem hanging down...."but I think they are all like that Madam".....I never got over that, and needless to say, I have a skirt at home that's slightly shorter than the one they sold me). :-D
I think I'll probably get that jacket, or similar. Thanks again HH!
