He's even taking to coming in the hide with me more now, mind you he did bring me tea and toast in there early this morning . I really noticed the difference using the 350D again today I thought that's it I'm going to order mine. I have managed to train myself not to be so trigger happy with the 30D it's so fast |

For Birds I have also found the spot metering on the 30D a great help.
The 350D is a great camera but I think the 30D is better for birds. I now keep my landscape lens (17-40 f4) on the 350D and my birding lens on the 30D. |

I was looking at buying a 400D as a second body but i have cancelled that order and am going to get either a second hand 20D or a 30D instead (unless I can find the wedge to get a 8fps 1Dmk2N instead )

I wanted to look back at some shots I took while I was using the 350D and went to turn the wheel to view them...........and it wasn't there I am going to keep my 350D for when I get a macro lens |

| | | Re: Canon 400D or 30D Well I'm a very happy bunny. I picked my Canon 30D up after work, the battery is now on charge. It came with strap, charger and battery like you said. Can't wait for tomorrow night when I get home for the last hour or so in the garden. Oh yes!!!
Thankyou you so much everyone for all your advice, very much appreciated | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
