I need your help please.

This is a genuine request. I am not trying to bump up numbers of visitors to my web site but I might have a slight problem with it.

I have no problem in uploading photos but I have uploaded only one small video clip. The trouble is when I go into it all I get is a request to click here to download plug-in. When I do that all that happens is that there are no suitable plug ins found.

Now I know one person that has gone into it ok but others haven't.

Could you guys and gals click into it and tell me if you cam open it please. If you can't is there any advice on why it is happening. I have a few video clips that I want to upload to my website but can't until I know what the problem is.

i cant get it to run - i dont even get the option to download a plug in , it just sits there with the play button greyed out , only showing a black screen

what sort of video file is it ?

It appears to be a WMV if that means anything. When I click into it on my PC (outside of my website) it opens up in windows media.

I just tried it and don't get any pop up. It just doesn't do anything.

works fine for me John, the video played with no problems at all. I'm running Windows XP and Firefox is my browser.

I can't offer any advice I'm afraid, I have no experience of video clips. It's odd that it works for some people but not others.

I'm running IE so this may be why, i have had similar issues with web based video before, - it would probably be useful if everyone who comments could tell us what browser they are using

I tend to think that the problem lies with the software the website uses to display files or the format in which it is stored but i am not expert enough to venture a further opinion or solution

probably IE then - if it came with the computer it is almost certainly microsoft (unlesss you have an apple of course) - if you had downloaded something more exotic such as firefox or oyster you would probably know

hi john, dont know if this helps. i am using i.e and i cant watch the video, but i have clicked on the link several times and i sometimes get a photo of a red kite on screen???
