Sony time-freezing binoculars

I read with interest that Sony are about to launch binoculars that allow you to pause, rewind and replay whatever they are viewing. They can record a sighting and send it to other people - all very well for the serious twitchers - at a price of £1,800 - on sale in November. Various articles on line go into greater detail.

But I'm more interested in the idea of capture of still photos - and so I did a bit of research. Bushnell make several digital camera binoculars but reviews are lukewarm at best.

So - has anyone used digi-binoculars - and are they any good?

They were showing some binoculars with built in video at the Bird
Fair to-day. I presume the same.

Didn't look carefully, but rather clunky I thought.
