10/10 for inovation but only 1/10 for execution

| | | Re: Gorilla Pod I dont use a long lens... infact.. dont use anything but the camera inbuilt lens so I think one of those would be darn good... could wrap it around the car window and get better shots of those herons up the river bank. Good idea.

Good idea. | IMO it wont do you much good with anything other than the very light short zoomed compacts - with a heavier longer zoomed one such as an FZ or a Fuji S series (which i assume you have if you are photographing herons) you will find the same problems as i did with my dslr
i also tried it out with my mums s7000 and their were problems with both stability and vibration
for use from a car i would recoment either an ergorest http://www.wildaboutbritain.co.uk/re...uct/298/cat/34 which boddie has and is a great bit of kit - or a bean bag resting on the window or sill.

| | | Re: Gorilla Pod Very interesting bit of kit that eeyore.. thanks for the link. It looks just the biz. I have a KonikaMinolta D Z5 and I find it terrible to get a decent picture with it cos it is too heavy for me. I will put it on my wanted list. jaki
