just bought a new camera nikon coolpix 100 first time user for a trip to the farne island. can any-one tell me is this a good enough camera for some nice pic's or is the zoom not big enough. thanx |

Well you have it now; why not practice by taking lots of photos, to see just what it can do?

You can get quite close to the birds on the Farnes, so you should be able to come away with some good images. Watch out for the Terns on Inner Farne, wear a hat. |

You'll get some cracking shots with that camera Mandy. It will get you some great landsacapes but may not be ideal for long distance. Just enjoy using it and please, let us see your results! Good luck Wizzo

You couldn't be going (sea permitting  ) to a better place to practice with a new camera. The birds are so plentiful and close it is a dream.
But the advice to wear a hat / hood is not in jest!
