I popped into Jessop's yesterday, to enquire about some 'in car' binoculars. The conversation went something like this....."Hi, I was wondering if you sell Opticron binoculars?" The sales assistant frowned and said "Pardon" I repeated my question and emphizised
Opticron. The assistant shook his head, adopted a blank look and said "no, I don't think so". "Ok, so what have you got for around £50-60?" The guy then points toward a pair of Bushnell 8x25's and says...."well these are £49." "Are they fogproof "I ask "What proof" replies the puzzled assistant.
"fogproof?" I repeat. "they might be waterproof I think" says Jessop's finest. By now, I'm thinking that I've made a mistake and asked a customer instead of a staff member. "You do work here don't you?" I ask him. "Yes I do" he says, with a really puzzled expression. Hasten to add, I made a quick exit and headed off to Jacob's!

If only this was a one off experience. Sadly no. It's the third time this has happened to me in Jessop's stores during the last 12 months. Needless to say...it will be my last! Wizzo
