| | | Sub £150 Binocular Recommendations I'm looking to replace my ageing no name 7x50 binoculars. I have a budget of £150 I would like to spend less if possible I Spend most of my time birding and wildlife watching in woodland and farmland. I would prefer full size binoculars compared to compacts but I'm open to suggestions. There is a bewildering amount options in my price range and I could do with a little hep narrowing it down to a few models to go looks at. here is a list of a few I have noticed.
Opticron Trailfinder II 8x42
Opticron Discovery WP PC 8x42
Nikon Action EX 7x35
Vanguard Platinum LDT 8x42
Viking Vistron 8x42
Pentax PCF WP II 8x40
Any help and advice is most appreciated. |

Pentax do a nice close focus pair the Papillo
Bushnell do two sizes of the porro prism Nature View
Aldi/Lidyl do some very good 10x50
All the big brands Nikon, Opticron, Pentax, Bushnell are very good, it is in the end how they heft when you use them

| | | Re: Sub £150 Binocular Recommendations bought a pair of Opticron Oregon 8x32 LE for a good friend last year after hers broke while we were working together in the field for around £90 brand new. They were a superb set of bins for the price and perform very well even compared to my 8x32 bins which cost well over 10 times more and they also have a fairly close focus range too for insects and butterflies and are light and can be carried on the neck all day without any fatigue.....i had to try them out Another friend bought a pair on my recomendation and she also will not be parted from them. well worth a look at and great value |
