torch light colour

Hi,

I used to have a torch years ago, which had different coloured filters (i think, red, blue and green), to cover the main bulb.

Can any tell me under what circumstances these colours would be best put to use outside?

I think red is supposed to be used as not to effect your eyes in the dark and lose any gained night vision

Please correct me if im wrong.

You are right about the red filter for use at night to stop you loosing your night vision. I think some maps have a green overlay on them so a green filter would highlight those. I've no idea about the blue filter. You could always have a disco!
