Binoculars

Does anyone know where my husband and i could obtain reasonably priced small binoculars for people who wear glasses? It is such a nuisance having to keep taking them off. Bill Oddie has a nice pair and leaves his on!!

I suffer with sinus and allergy related problems,and for much of the time find that using binoculars actually make me very queasy.Has anyone come across this? Is there any way round it? It spoils what could be new and rewarding birdwatching experiences.

Last year I saw a poster, I think it was a company called inFocus that advertised open days for testing their range of binoculars and scopes. They had a list of dates for touring the country and were setting up displays at bird hides and nature reserves. It could be a good way for you to have a go with lots of different models.

That said, I've never really got the hang of using binoculars and always find them a bit awkward to use with double vision being the ususal result, so instead I've opted for a small pocket-size scope form Jessops. It was only £20 but as I'm not an avid birdspotter it does the job for occasional use.
