In the meantime we've been getting our boots re-bttomed [both heel and soul lost their tread] (at Peter's the cobblers in Sheffield but I gather that other shops do it). Basically they skive of the plastic soul and stick a new one on. My wife's have lasted a couple of years now; I'll let you know about mine in a year or two - they're going to cost about £25 but I reckon that will be okay as long as they last two years! |

Stuff under warrantry needs to go to the manufacturer or agent.
Super glue covers a lot of products some of which will stick nylon.
Most ordinary everyday superglues will break down in water unless the appropriate proofer is used even then many are not intended for mechanical
(bending flexing) applications
