| | | Looking for a satchel I want to get my o/h a satchel with lots of pockets etc so he can get hold of his pots etc with ease rather than having to undo his rucksack. He's a moth-er but likes most bugs! |

| | | Re: Looking for a satchel Personally I would look at shooting and game bags I dont think you can get better outdoor bags than these.
I never visit the high street outdoorsy type shops for anything I use outside. Gun shops and countryside suppliers e.g. equestrian and shooting outlets for me provide the best hard wearing most practical gear possible and as a bonus they don't tend to come with huge manufacturer 'look at me I've got a 'xxxx' brand logos. |

| | | Re: Looking for a satchel I bought a canvas satchel from Woolworths of all places in about 1959/60. I still use it today and have yet to find anything that could replace it, (far better than a rucksack).
So I hope yours will be as usefull and last as long.

| | | Re: Looking for a satchel 1. Also try fishing shops
Usually cheaper than shooting outlets.
2. My satchel is a laptop bag. Bought from well-known PC out of town supplier. Well padded so protects camera etc |

| | | Re: Looking for a satchel Look at the Billingham and National Geographic canvas camera bags.
I have a Billingham which I have had for years it has a waist strap for those
climbing/descending awkward obstacle moments, removable padding system.
I bid on one that had been used as a fishing creel but it reached its new price + a very tough bit of kit built for a lifetime use.
