| | | Adobe Photoshop query... I was wondering if anyone knew what edition of photoshop is the latest? I realize that there are different versions, for example the full version and the 'Elements' versions.
If anyone knows of the most recent edtions for each i'd appreciate any feedback.
Thank you.... |

I'm ashamed to say I've only looked at one chapter! It's not that there's anything wrong with them, or that I know CS2, because I most certainly don't; it's more I'm too lazy to load the thing and look at it! |

| | | Re: Adobe Photoshop query... That was a quick reply!!! Thank you. I have CS2 on my computer already but will probably have to use the tutorials to get into it.
I don't want to get too deep at the moment just the basics will do I think. |

Thank you.... | Hi Gue.
I have been using Photoshop for years. CS3 is about to be released and you can download the trial version from the Adobe site. However Photoshop Elements 5 has just been released. Elements was initially intended to be a cut down version of Photoshop. However with each release Elements has become more and more feature rich until, now with the release of elements 5 it has actually surpassed Photoshop in many ways, including ease of use. But don't confuse 'ease of use' with a cut down version - PSE 5 is excellent and is designed around the needs of the digital photographer. Again, you can download a fully functional version from Adobe and at the fraction of the cost of CS3, Elements is terrific value for money IMO.
Hope that this helps. If you need any help with either Photoshop or Elements in the future, just give me a yell! |

But if you have a portable DVD player by you on your desk you can then work along with the bloke that is telling you things and pause it when he gets ahead or go back a bit if you missed that last thing he was telling you. |

I am by no means a computer wiz and still learning. I got a photshop book for Xmas( I Know, i can all hear you sigh at the thought of wading through countless pages of fruitless time). But its not like that at all. I guess if I can can follow it and get some good results then most of you can too. The book is called The Photoshop CS2 Book by Scott Kelby. Its not a tell you how to do it but a show you how to do it which in my mind makes this book stand out. If you need to look for it the number is ISBN 0-321-33062-5. Not cheap but very good.
Have fun
