Hi,
I'm just about to purchase a digital system in addition to my film. I will need to buy some memory cards. I have noticed there is a massive difference in price between cards like the Jessops own brand and other makes like Sandisk, which are almost double the price. I have been looking at the 1GB for both makes. Is there a large difference in quality?
Any recommendations?? |

Bought one on ebay from Hong Kong. Usually dodgy but feedback was ok. Was about £30 with postage for a gigabite(sp?). Staples ment to be cheap at mo. |

Try AMAZON for memory cards. I have just received this morning a 1 GB Compact Flash SANDISK EXTREME 111 for £23.99 including delivery. Ordered Friday received today. That's a good deal!

7 day shop was mentioned ,their own brand is if I remember correctly Mitsubishi,
aMazon also do viking which are supposed to be faster than sandisk

Yep...7 day shop....£8.99 for a 1 gig card, I bought one, its fine, made by toshiba too....Can't go wrong with that.... |

There is a very wide range of memory cards available, it is important that we compare like with like. Some memory cards are much slower to record data than others. If used in a digital camera it is beneficial that the card can read at higher rates. The Sandisk Extreme range reads/writes at 20Mb/second.
