| | | mobile phone wildlife related applications Has anyone discovered and applications for Iphone / Blackberry or other swanky type phones that are useful for people interested in wildlife or the great outdoors?
I have an Iphone with some useful bits and pieces. One is called 'chirp' which is good for those learning birdsong, one called pUniverse' which is good for learning your constellations and one for geocaching too which is fun when out and about
Has anyone else found anything interesting or maybe you've just got thoughts on this new kind of media that can be utilised in the field? |

| | | Re: mobile phone wildlife related applications You dont necessarily need an iphone or clone to enjoy such things. I've got two versions of songs and calls of British Birds on an ordinary phone which are very useful when we're out and about. |

| | | Re: mobile phone wildlife related applications I've got one for the IPhone by BirdGuides called "Garden Birds" it's not bad as a quick field guide. cost around £5.99. the other was IDentify but that was considerably dearer at around £35 but has to be loaded on to the ipod section, excellent reference and video but stores it in a bit of a messy way. Hope this helps
