Video CCTV options for wildlife watching?

Hi all,

Ive been recently pulling my hair out trying to decide which equipment to buy.
Basically I want to put a camera with night vision in a tree pointed at a badger set I've got in the garden.
Also I would like it to activate when it detects motion, and send a video feed direct to my PC, where I will be nice and warm sitting in doors
If it was semi portal that would be handy, as I could move it around the garden a bit.
Wireless would be preferable but only if it has a rechargeable battery as the ones I looked at you had to have a mains plus a few meters away (dont get this at all)!
If Wired would need atleast 30 meters, maybe more if possible, same with wireless I guess.
Budget is a difficult one, I dont want to spend more than £150 really but might do if it was well worth it.

This is a really good piece of software I've used in the past, that you can run on a Linux computer with a video card. It starts capturing and saving frames as soon as it detects motion in an area you can define. Like most Linux software, it's free. I also believe it comes as standard with Ubuntu.

Hiya Thanks, Im so much intersested in the software (alltho I am) But I reallly want to know which camera to buy ?

BTW whicfh camera are you using cos it sounds like what im looking for :??
