| | | Video CCTV options for wildlife watching? Hi all,
Ive been recently pulling my hair out trying to decide which equipment to buy.
Basically I want to put a camera with night vision in a tree pointed at a badger set I've got in the garden.
Also I would like it to activate when it detects motion, and send a video feed direct to my PC, where I will be nice and warm sitting in doors
If it was semi portal that would be handy, as I could move it around the garden a bit.
Wireless would be preferable but only if it has a rechargeable battery as the ones I looked at you had to have a mains plus a few meters away (dont get this at all)!
If Wired would need atleast 30 meters, maybe more if possible, same with wireless I guess.
Budget is a difficult one, I dont want to spend more than £150 really but might do if it was well worth it.
Thanks for any advice or experience of using any of this type of stuff yourself would be helpful.

H. | I've recently been looking for something similar, have a look at the attached link and maybe browse the site for other options.

It starts capturing and saving frames as soon as it detects motion in an area you can define. Like most Linux software, it's free. I also believe it comes as standard with Ubuntu.
