I picked up Jessops new catalogue today to check for the price of a Compact Flash 1GB Sandisk 3 memory card. The price quoted by Jessops £111.99. Have just checked Amazon's price including delivery,£23.49. How can such a difference be justified???

John D | The amazon one's cheap John!! Mine cost £38 and that was from them 6 months ago! They seem to get them in bulk. A month ago they didn't have any in stock.
Don't even mention Jessops!! Last resort in my book. Well that's for my branch anyway! |

I never buy memory cards in UK! Most probably cheaper on-line but we tend to buy them when we're on holiday and run out of space! Bought a 1Gb flashcard in a fairly small Breton town for 20% less than UK shop prices and have done similar in Athens and Italy but the best bargains were in Spain where memory cards cost about 10% of UK prices. |

www.7dayshop.com and www.mymemory.co.uk are worth a look too (7dayshop also excellent for rechargeable batteries) - 1Gb CF from £11.49 for a no-name and £16.49 for Sandisk. |

I bought an Extreme 111 flash card from Amazon after reading John's thread. A great price and also included is a "LE" version of Phase one's capture one raw converter. I have never used this software so it will be interesting to compare with Canon's DPP and RSE. |

I have just received a Sandisk 1GB Extreme 3 with a Sandisk 'Rescue Pro' and 'small pouch' for memory cards from Amazon for £23.49 including postage. Great value and service!
Tw o weeks ago I bought Collins Bird Guide to Birds of Britain and Europe for £11.21 and RSPB Pocket Guide to Birds for £7.19 from Amazon, including postage.
Just no comparison to what others are charging.
NOTE - I'm not on commission, just think Amazon provides a good deal and service in many cases.

I normally use Kingston cards, but have just purchased two 2 GB cards from 7dayshop for £17.99 each. They show as Toshiba when inserted in to a card reader and have fast read and write speeds. |

Can certainly recommend both amazon and 7dayshop.Recently bought a 4Gb Sandisk ultra CF card from amazon for the same price Jessops charge for a 1GB card. Can also strongly recommend 7dayshop glossy photograph A4, beats both Epson and Canon hands down and at a fraction of the price. Buy all my photographic kit and consumeables on line now.

I recently bought a 1GB Sandisk from ebay for £13.97. The trouble is it hasn't arrived yet - you have to be careful who you buy it from, but sometimes they can be very cheap if you pay by Paypal.
