Binoculars in Milton Keynes

Hi all,

I am looking to buy my first pair of 'decent' binocluars having used a few cheapie compacts over the years. Could anyone recommend a stockist in the Milton Keynes area where I can go and get my hands on a few and help me make my decision?

I am currently interested in Bushnell, but could be persuaded otherwise.

I am sure Jessops do Bushnell.

Use them for the 'feel' then go somewhere more competitive. Like T'internet

There arent any dedicated bino shops in MK, although as boddie says there are general stockists like jessops , dixons etc.

assuming you dont want to buy on tinternet I use these people in marston moretaine which aint that far away

Also we and RSPB (and other folk) are running a wildlife funday at bradwell abbey on Sept 10 . This will be sponsored by swarvowski optics who will have a sale table there , relatively expensive bins but will last a lifetime.

I am planning on going to Bradwell Abbey on the 10th (Depending on how the tiling I'm doing goes). So I'll have a look. Not sure my budget will stretch as far as Swarvowski, I am looking to spend up to £200.

Any Views on Bushnell? 8 or 10 x 42, Excursion, Trophy, H2O or Natureview.

RSPB's own brand are worth a look http://www.rspboptics.com/rspb/rspb/bg.htm decent bins , lowish price (8x42 is inside your budge) and your money goes to the rspb , what more could you ask - If you want to handle them sandy is only a 20 min drive (well 40 for those who drive sensibly) from MK

at £200 there are any number of bins around. if you can stretch the budget to £300....

£200-£300 will buy you something pretty good.

Well,

I ended up with a pair of Opticron imagic 10x42 BGA WP PC ASF bins which I found in a shop on the Wirral for £250, think I did quite qwell with the pricing and they are great. So much better than the cheapies I have been using up to now.
