Which night vision camera?

I am thinking of purchasing some sort of remote night vision camera to capture "my" badger feeding, etc., and wondered if anyone could recommend anything please.

Did you know it is possible to convert normal cameras to infra red?

If you are a little bit handy, or knows someone who is, and you have an old video camera, webcam or digital still camera you don't want or use, you might as well give it a go.

As far as I know, it doesn't give infrared in the true sense of the word, i.e. it does not detect heat sources, but works on the far end of the visible spectrum the human eye cannot detect. This does mean, though, that with a suitable infra red light source, you can film in total darkness.

Wow, that link makes very interesting reading.

I was thinking more along the lines of a security camera, there are loads on ebay, just wondered if anyone else had one.
