| | | Re: computer chairs I have had two from Ikea and one from PC World, and while they are fine when sitting normally, they are absolute rubbish when used in front of a computer as the majority of people, like myself lean forward over the keyboard, which makes the back of the chair obsolete and eventually puts a strain on the back.
If you find one that is comfy after prolonged use please let me know.

| | | Re: computer chairs I like my comfort so at the moment I'm sat on a recliner chair in my lounge with my laptop on a tray
Seriously, though, I have never found a computer chair that I have found comfortable. I tend to use a dining room chair but keep reminding myself to sit back - it's better for the eyes too to have some distance between them and the screen too.

| | | Re: computer chairs I had one of these ergonomic ones where you are sort of kneeling and sitting. There is no back to it, but you need to sit up straight or you are mighty uncomfortable! I found it great (and for doing my sewing), but it must have been a Friday afternoon one and it didn't last long....and it was expensive, around £75 if I remember. Have now got an ordinary office chair (secondhand). Very comfortable, but, as you say, the back is redundant!
When I can afford it, I shall invest in another 'funny chair' as my OH used to call it!! |
