| | | Well it's arrived at last Well after six weeks on order my Sigma lens has arrived, and I am well impressed with it. It is a huge monster which needs controlling It is quite heavy, a lot heavier than I expected, but who cares, I don't. I have taken a couple of shots from my hide resting on a bean bag, the first time I poked it out of the hide I scared away a magpie who must have thought I had a big gun Anyway, I am well impressed with the shots I have taken so far, I am going to Pennington Flash tomorrow after work to try it out properly, weather permitting.
Thanks to all who gave me advice on which lens to get

I know I didn't. It took me a week or two to get used to handling it. |

I recently got a more sturdier tripod as well to accommodate it.

And it's great to be able to zoom in on further away objects in fact, I'm sure I just spotted your posh bird stand ....................................with a Jay sat on it and you were not in the garden to capture it..............awwwwww what a shame |
