(the same theiving gett got a chainsaw with a seized engine and a generator which was peeing petrol out of the bottom - the good stuff is all under lock and key - I really hope he sells said goods to a passing traveller - they look fine until you try to use them - and gets a good kicking for passing off defective goods... anyway i digress)
however given the good reviews from people on here and the ridiculously low price i'm definitely going to give the bressers a go - lidl devizes before work tommorow me thinks.

| | | Re: spotting scope for sub £100? I took a chance on the Bresser scope form Lidl on Monday and to be honest i am pretty impressed. I also got an adaptor kit from ODS Ltd, (£21) delivered yesterday and now have a pretty good digiscope when attached to my Canon 350D.
The Lidl deal comes with Scope, Tripod (actually a pretty sturdy one) compact camera mount (alone retails at £30) lunar filter and a bag.
The only bit which lets the whole thing down is the flexibility in the mounting ring on the scope itself. Its just a little too flexible, however I have found that a pound coin placed under the mounting ring (between the quick release plate) actually locks it pretty solid.
Looking forward to some good sunlight so I can reduce the ISO from 400 to 100.
I will post some examples then.

| | | Re: spotting scope for sub £100? Smart people are wising up to the fact that Lidl is a quality German supermarket chain. Unbelievable value for gadgets, hobbies, tools, electricals etc plus themed weeks from fishing to diving! Food's not bad either (but not all). Forget the snobby putdowns , it won Which? magazine supermarket of the year last year - and no, I don't work for them !! |

| | | Re: spotting scope for sub £100? Yeah, you have to laugh at the mugs that knock Lidls. Pure snobbery. It's true they don't have many staff on the tills and the layout is a bit naff but the value and quality of the made in Germany products is astounding. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
