| | Tamron 28-300mm VC Di Lens - Canon Fit Tamron 28-300mm VC Di Lens - Canon Fit Has anyone had experiance of this Lens
Experience the smooth control and effortless hand held results from the Tamron 28-300 XR Di VC (Macro) lens. Tamron’s 28-300 XR Di VC (Macro) lens sophisticated Vibration Compensation enables you to capture the real mood of a scene without having to revert to the use of flash or a tripod. Tamron’s award winning design incorporates their 3 axis control Vibration Compensation system, enabling you to take sharp images in situations which previously would not have been possible, especially in low light or capturing fast moving subjects whilst zoomed at the maximum 300mm focal length. This lens covers an extremely broad range of focal lengths, from a wide 28mm to a super telephoto 300mm (the 35mm equivalent of 43mm to 465mm when used on an APS-C digital SLR) and is compatible with both full frame cameras and those with APS-C sized chips.

| | | Re: Tamron 28-300mm VC Di Lens - Canon Fit All I could find on dpreview was the 70-300mm - it might help though: Tamron SP AF 70-200mm Di LD (IF) Macro Lens Review: 1. Introduction: Digital Photography Review
I'd guess that because of the greater range on the 28-300mm, more compromises would need to be made in the design, resulting in it being not as good as the 70-300mm.

| | | Re: Tamron 28-300mm VC Di Lens - Canon Fit I use an 18-200 walk around on a D40
I use it as a general purpose walk-around.
I would really miss the 18-28 range
with the Tamron.
The 18 on my D40 give equiv to 28 on full
frame.
Just my tuppence worth!
