I boughts Minox 8x42 BV from london camera exchange for £169. Am very happy with them.
As with previous posts though - its all personal so look around and get to handle as many as you can. Buy the ones that feel best for you.
regards

| | | Re: Binocular help! it depends on what you are going to be watching with them...
as you know binoculars all come in different sizes and prices and quite frankly there are a lot of people out there who just want to make money ...
just go out to a good shop where they sell a good range of binos and try out as many as you can get hold of...
take your time ,dont get rushed by someone who wants a quick sale , and pick up each one and try them out ...
get the one that you feel comfortable with (not too heavy , with a good field of view ) .. and for gods sake dont get into these pointless ones that are gas filled , water proofed to 20 meters and you can drop them off a 10 story building .
good luck |

| | | Re: Binocular help! Hi Stephen. The one piece of advice I would give would be...don't consider any bino's that aren't nitrogen filled. Far from being pointless, they will make using them a pleasure when the conditions are less than perfect. Of course, if you only use your bins on warm sunny days...then no prob's. If you can find a pair of second hand Hawk Frontier ED's, for around £150.00, then happy days. You'll love em!! Wizzo

Being 42mm OG they're not a bright as my 10x50 Lidyl Bressers, but they're waterproof and nitrogen filled.
