| | Canon EOS 450D Hi folks
Has anyone got the Canon EOS 450D camera? A friend of mine is looking to buy this and I wondered if anyone could give me advise on it. He is after something that will give good picture quality and take a shot of what he is seeing without having to wait for the settings to do their stuff. Also being able to blow-up the picture without too much loss of quality. Jessops have a Canon EOS 450D Twin Lens Bundle for £579.99.
Any advise would be welcome.
Thanks Phoebe |

Without knowing precisely what forms/styles of photography your friend is interested in, its difficult to suggest which DSLR may be most suitable - from the requirements here the same could be achieved with a compact or bridge camera. TBH much of the 'quality' of any image is down to the photographer, not the camera.

Also be aware that 'quality' will be effected by the 'quality' of the lenses you use.

I suspect the principle consideration here is '"shutter lag" -the time it takes for shutter to fire after the button is pressed. Having spent a year or two using a 'bridge' camera and it's long shutter lag, I have countless numbers of pictures of twigs - where once there was a bird. |

| | | Re: Canon EOS 450D Hi peeps
Thanks for the replies. My friend arrived yesterday and has gone and bought the 450D from Comet and then today bought another lens for it, a Tamron 70-300mm with a macro facility! He just couldn't wait lol. He seems pleased with it. We are going out tomorrow to try it out . Hopefully we will have something to post on the forum.
He intends to photograph wildlife mostly so it sounds like it will be suitable.
Once again thanks very much. |

My personal opinion is i'd be going for an entry level dslr such as the cheap sony i have and use.
When one learns his craft and the hardware is starting to limit the end product then is it worth moving forward.. in my opinion.
But then my purchases are budget dominated like most of us. |
