Have to say, for £12.70 they are a steal. Rubber coated, c/w canvas style nylon carry case (serviceable - if not designer quality), neck strap, attachable rubber eyepiece cover, and plastic lens covers.
First impressions are very good. bright crisp image, easy to focus, etc. etc.
For the price - can't fault 'em.

| | | Re: cheap Binoculars Nikon Action 8x42s. Got em half price at Jessops for £50. Wanted a new pair recently that would be lighter and a bit slimmer and was told by a chap at In Focus in Titchwell not to bother - I'd get better sharpness with other but the premium wasn't worth paying (the weight and size weren't going to be significantly better.
Brilliant binos and (reasonably) weatherproof (so far).
Is that another red squirrel avatar I see on the previous page, my there's a veritable rabble of us out there |

Jim | I got a pair from Lidl too for the same reason and paid £12.70, a bargain given as far as I can tell they usually sell for up to £60.

| | | Re: cheap Binoculars I got a pair today and while i agree they are great value for a tenner, i'm not as impressed as i thought i might be.
my biggest gripe is that the eye pieces dont fold down which is a pain if you wear glasses , and also while the image is relatively clear and bright they are not comparable with the more expensive bins I had before some scrote pinched them.
still my swmbo says she will buy me a set of bushnell nature view 8x40 prism binnys for my birthday so thats all good and the bressers will do til then and can then live in the truck for our volunteers to use - if they get damaged or lifted at a tenner they will be no great loss.
dont get me wrong for a tenner they are still a brilliant buy if thats all you can afford , but you wouldnt catch me paying the full bresser price (59.95) for these.
