| | | Tamrac Adventure 6 Backpack Evening all
I am thinking of getting a camera bag/rucksack and am wondering about the Tamrac Adventure 6
I basically want a camera part to store my 350D + lens plus maybe 1 other lens plus somewhere to put my lunch/jacket etc and this one looks the business (especially when you can get it for just over £30 )
Has anybody got it/had experience of it and can let me know if it is worth getting.

| | | Re: Tamrac Adventure 6 Backpack I have this sack. The bottom compartment is large enough to take a DSLR body with lens attached, and two extra lenses, plus a few cards and batteries. The top compartment is quite small and if you may want to go a size bigger if you need to carry drinks, food, waterproofs etc. You can add straps to the bottom to carry a tripod, but they are a bit fiddly.
It is well made, lots of straps for a tight and secure fit - ideal if you're going mountaineering or hill walking but can be a pain if you want to keep diving in and out of the sack. I find it a little narrow on the back so it doesn't sit as well as a larger sack - again this is down to personal choice and usage.
Overall I think it is a decent sack but I wish I'd got the next size up |

I'll maybe have to have a look and compare the difference in sizes to the kind of things I need to carry. |

| | | Re: Tamrac Adventure 6 Backpack Hi i have a tamrac adventure 7 rucksack. this is what i hold in it.The bottom compartment holds a canon 40d with 50mm lens attatched, tamron 90mm macro lens and a sigma 10-20mm zoom lens.I attatch my tripod by putting 2 of the legs in one of the external side mesh pockets and strap the top of the tripod to the top carrying handle. The other side mesh pocket i use to hold 2 x 500ml bottles of water. In the top compartment i keep a pouch with my filters and cokin p system holder, this fits in the internal mesh pocket. this still allows me room to fit sandwiches, a light shower proof jacket etc inside the top half. Also on the external lower outer pocket i keep spare batteries x 2, a lens cleaning cloth, memory cards x 4 in a case and my cable release. Last monday i went on a 6 mile round trip, 4 hrs in total, in Welsh waterfall country and found it to be a very comfortable rucksack.I bought mine from morris photography(mods hope thats allowed) for £30 + £5 p+p 6 months ago.
Hope this helps you.

Len | Cheers Len, sounds like the adventure 7 maybe a better bet than the 6 especially if I can get it for £30-35 | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
