| | | Re: Decent general purpose scope. Nice idea but doesn't work with my set up, Velbon Delta tripod and Cullinan hide clamp, so have to carry both. Fortunately the scope is lightweight! |

| | | Re: Decent general purpose scope. Is it a clamp like Eeyore just described or a whole seperate unit? The Delta tripod I believe has an easily removable centre column, I think In Focus do a dedicated hide clamp for that model.
Carrying two seperate units would be a real pain if you didn't have a rucksack or something. I always have a rucksack for me sarnies and a brew. |

| | | Re: Decent general purpose scope. Here's a pic - you can't remove the head or the centre column so you just have to swap the scope over from your tripod, not a big deal really.
It's not particularly heavy either |

| | | Re: Decent general purpose scope. Just checked the In Focus website and it mentions the G clamp that attaches to the centre column and is priced at £39. Rather unhelpfully there isn't a picture.
The only benefit over what you've already got is that it can stay attached to your tripod when not in use so you don't have any extra gear to carry. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
