| | | New Bridge Camera Hello!
I'm trying to locate a fairly low end bridge camera, for use outdoors (Landscape, Wildlife) photography.
I'm considering a Fuji S5800 or the Fuji S1000FD, I'm only a hobbyist (weekends) so I can't justify a £300+ camera.
Any other suggestions welcome.
Thank you!!
P.s. Sorry if this is in the wrong section. |

| | | Re: New Bridge Camera I've got a Fuji SF6500 which is a good bridge camera if you have a low budget. I've got some photos on here that you might like to look at to give you an idea as to what it's capable of.
Cheers,
Badger.

| | | Re: New Bridge Camera I have the fuji S9600..It has given some very nice results for someone who know absolutely nothing about photography. I know it can do a lot more than I can get it to do..
I also have pics in the Gallery.

| | | Re: New Bridge Camera Thank you for your responses. Those pictures look great!!
I shall do some window shopping on the weekend but it's definatly between the S5800 and 1000FD as no shops near me carry the S9600 As far as I know.
Thank you! |

| | | Re: New Bridge Camera Have you considered the Panasonic FZ18? It's a bridge camera with 18x zoom and Image Stabilisation. I've been very happy with mine, and I know several over WAB members also rate it. It's around £200.
Most of my shots in the Gallery in 2008 were taken with this camera: Pete Collins Gallery - Wildlife Photography |

I'm very impressed with quality and zoom range.
I use dSLR but used to have a bridge. the FZ18 is much faster
than my old bridge, but still annoying lag for one used to dSLR.
Superb value for money. |

| | | Re: New Bridge Camera I have an earlier version of the finepix which is s5600 which I got from Amazon for £124.I love it although now I have seen my brothers newer version I am jealous as it has 18x zoom and mine is only 10X.In June I bought a Olympus 1.7 T-Con with my birthday money and have bee pretty pleased with some of my photos with it. This was taken on my first day out with the finepix and the T-Con without the extra lens he would have been much smaller as he was on a branch overhanging a pool.

It certainly helps me to get even closer shots of birds in the garden. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
