| | Lighting 4 filming wildlife at night Can anyone recommend any lighting or torches to use for wildlife filming at night.
At the moment i use a 2 million candle power spotlight which is good for brightness & distance of light, but it doesn't last long. |

The trend seems to be toward L.E.D's or a powerful flash with a fresnel magnifing lens or are you a video-er

Probably couldn't see
Yes filming with a camcorder although i might use a 'photo' camera in the future |

There are commercial l.e.d ringlights available but they are very pricy.
L.e.d.'s vary in colour but can be bought as pure white from some suppliers
also battery life is very good for the amount of light produced.
They are not difficult to make I mount mine on old cd's but plastic car headlight reflectors and ply are light weight.
My first led lamp was made for me after I asked around in my local Maplins for someone to help
