This lens ( Sigma 150mm Macro F2.8 APO EX DG HSM ) seen in the USA by Visitors Is £330 is this a good price or would you expect to get it for less than this in USA. Comments Please

Calumet have it listed at $634. Add in the US sales tax, convert it into Sterling and £330 sounds about right. I haven't checked anywhere else though. |

B&H have it at $599.00.
This comes out at around £300.00, so £330.00 sounds okay.
You can find them in this country for not much more though.

A quick "me too" post - the Sigma 150mm is a brilliant lens! Got mine from a UK internet retailer for £379 in April 2007. You might be able to find it cheaper now.

Barquar | A colleague bought a UK warranty Sigma 180mm F3.5 APO macro lens for £350. I think it was via ebay. It looked well made, and image quality was well decent. My only concern is that I have seen a photo of a Sigma 150mm macro lens which had broken in half to reveal plastic internals. So don't drop it.
Regarding warranty issues, you are less likely to have problems with a prime than a zoom as they are less complex. | | | |
