| |  canon 55-250 lens
hi everyone just bought a new canon 55-250 lens first impressions its nothing like the 18 -55 kit lens its a cracking little lens for the price, the image stabaliser works a treat, purple fringing not an issue after twenty or so practice shots, image quality is spot on, an ideal lens for anyone on a budget cant find any bad points as yet except haveing to buy a lens hood but thats canon for you . |

I was going to buy this lens a while back but wanted to hold out for a review. Well, the latest Practical Photography tested it and loved it. They said it was a fantastic lens that was very sharp throughout the range, even wide open. It's light and the IS works well. 5 out of 5. I think you've got a great little lens there by all accounts. What will you use it for mainly? Only thing is you'll have to get some shots uploaded for us to admire now  |

My DH bought me a Canon 400D for Christmas and subsequently this lens for my birthday - I love it
Never had a "proper" camera before so still playing with it and trying to get used to it "LOL" | | |
